Setting up a Secondary Email in your Google Email Account

Adding the email account

  1. Log into your CMM google email account

  2. Click on the Settings icon in the top right-hand corner

  3. Click on Settings

  4. Click on Accounts

  5. Click on Add another email address under the Send mail as section

  6. Enter the email that you want to add

    1. Note: You can also edit the name associated with the email by changing/adding the name in the Name box

  7. Make sure Treat as an alias is checked

  8. Click Next Step

Changing your “Send From” email

When you send an email you can change your “Send From” email, as long as you have more than one email added in your google email account.

  • Click on your email/name in the send from box and choose the email/name that you want to “send from” this time.

Note: If using the iPhone “Mail” app you cannot change your “Send From” email, You can change it in the google gmail app though.

Setup default Send From email

  1. Log into your CMM google email account

  2. Click on the Settings icon in the top right-hand corner

  3. Click on Settings

  4. Click on Accounts

  5. Click on Make Default next to the email you want to default sending from

Setup default Reply From email

You have two options for your Reply From email

  • Reply from the same address the message was sent to

    • This means that when you reply to a message the “send from” email will be whatever email the original message was sent to so if the message was sent to [email protected] the reply to email will be [email protected]

  • Always reply from default address (currently [email protected])

    • This means that when you reply to a message the “send from” email will be your default email regardless of which email the message was sent to
