Please be sure to read the Saving Items section of this guide so that all documents are saved correctly and there are no duplicate, mis-placed, or erroneous documents in the Canva account, as well as to ensure that other users who need access to the documents and designs that you are working on have access.

Joining Canva

  1. If you need to join the CMM’s Canva account email the following information to [email protected]

    1. Your name and work email

    2. Your team (if applicable)

    3. What other team(s) you may be working with or need access to

  2. After emailing support we will receive a ticket to set you up in Canva

    1. Once we have done so you will receive one email from us, with some information on what next steps you need to take

    2. You will then get an email from Canva asking you to accept our invitation.

      1. Please note: If you do not have a preexisting account with Canva you will have to create one, this is a simple process but you will receive a second email from Canva asking you to confirm your email address, you will need to do this to complete your account setup

  3. Once you have accepted all invites and finished setting up your Canva account please reply to your previous email to [email protected]

    1. You can simply say that you have finished setting up your Canva account and accepted all invites

    2. This confirmation will let us know that we can add you to the Groups and/or Folders that you may need access to

    3. After you have emailed support and received confirmation from the Tech Team that you have been added to any necessary Groups and/or Folders you can begin using Canva

  4. Once the Tech Team has added you to your Group(s) and/or Folder(s) you will need to:

    1. Log into Canva

    2. Click on All your folders (on the left side menu bar)

    3. Click on Shared with you

  5. From here you can see the Folders that you have access to

    1. If you click on a shared folder you will see a star next to it’s name on the page that opens

    2. If you click this a shortcut to this folder will appear at the bottom of the left side menu bar

Saving Items

While working in Canva on CMM related documents, please be sure to save all work to the proper Folder.

These folders work much the same way as our Google Shared Drives folders, every team should have a Top Level folder, if you do not have one let us know and we will create one for you.

I.e., If you are on the Families Team you will have access to the Families Folder and will need to save any work related to Families/Via to that Folder.

This will help ensure that all documents are saved correctly, that there are no duplicates, mis-placed, or erroneous documents in the Canva account, as well as ensure that any one else on your Team that needs access to the document has access

To save documents to Folders you can follow the instructions below.
