Team Pages Setup

Notes:

This page is meant to be primarily used when talking to people in Country to tell them about the team and what you guys are doing.

Everything except the text and image at the top of the page is modular, you can move them around in different orders and/or remove sections as you want or need so the page best fits your needs for your team page.

Setup New Team Page

  1. Log into butter

  2. Click on the Pages icon in the left hand menu

  1. Click on Page Type at the top of the page

  1. Click on the Team option from the menu

  1. Type in Design in the search bar at the top of the page and hit Enter

  2. Click on the title of the Design Template page to open it

  1. Click on the Three dots in the top right corner of the page

  2. Click on Clone

  1. Click on Leave when prompted

  2. Click on the title Copy Design Template and rename page

    1. The page Name and Slug should follow the conventions of the other Team pages

      1. Page Name → [[Location TeamType Team]]

        1. Lima City Team

        2. Brazil Area Team

      2. Page Slug → [[location-teamtype-team]]

        1. Lima-city-team

        2. brazil-area-team

  1. Do not enter anything in the SEO section for now

  2. Update the content in the rest of the page as needed

    1. You can see the Design Template example page at the link below

    2. This will show you where each section in Butter shows up on the page on vianations.org

    3. Click on the Title of a section to expand it

Add a Resource to the Our Flagship Resources section

  1. Scroll down to the Resources section

  2. Expand the section by clicking on the Title

  3. Click on the Add Reference button

  1. Scroll through the list of references or type in the search bar to find the resource you would like to add

  2. Click on an item to add it to the list

    1. It will be highlighted after you click on it

  3. Click on the Use Selected button in the top right of the box to save your choices

  1. Follow the same steps as above for adding the any of the following items to your page, substituting Resources for the appropriate item you are trying to add:

    1. Upcoming Events

    2. Testimonials

    3. Articles

    4. Giving Opportunities

    5. Partners

    6. Note: If you are not seeing the item(s) you would like to add there will be additional instructions below for how to create those items so you can add them to your page

Add Team Members to the Meet our Team Section

  1. Scroll down to the Multi Column Content section

  2. Click on the title to expand the section

  1. Click on the x to remove the test image in the Image Field

  2. Drag and Drop the image you would like to add onto the Image field

    1. Note: When you add an image make sure to go in the Media Library after you save your page and name and tag the image according to our naming and tagging conventions – Image Naming and Tagging Conventions

    2. This is very important to help keep things clean and organized in the Media Library so we can find the images that are being used on our pages in case we need to update them or change them.

  3. Update the Headline field to the Team Members Name

  4. Update the Subheadline field to the Team Members Job Title or Role

  1. Repeat the steps above for each Team Member

  2. If there are too many Team Member boxes you can remove the extras by clicking on the x in the top right corner of the box

Save your Changes

  1. Click Publish in the top right corner of the page to save your changes

    1. Publishing the page will cause it to show up on the Our Teams page on our site

    2. If you don’t want the page to show up on the Live site for now you can just click Save Draft for now

Using the Staging Site

If you have a section that is not ready to put on the Live site yet you can use the Visible field to “hide” it so it will only show up on our Staging site. This will allow you to work on sections and see how they look without them being on the Live site until you are ready.

  • Click the Name of the Section you want to hide to open it

  • Click the Visible field

  • Choose Staging from the drop down menu

  • Open the page on the Staging site to view your changes

    • Once the section is ready you will need to change the Visible field back to Live

Create a New Collection Item

Create new Testimonial or Partner

  1. Log into Butter

  2. Click on the Collections icon in the left hand menu

  1. Click on the New Item button in the top right corner of the page

  2. Choose the correct Item you are wanting to add from the drop down menu

  1. Partner

  2. Or Testimonial

  1. Fill out the fields

  2. Click Publish in the top right corner of the page to save your changes

  3. Follow the steps linked below to make sure your image is named and tagged correctly
